On December 8 2022 over 100 Bouygues Energies & Services employees took part in an Innovation Day at our Atlantis headquarters, discovering the innovative solutions developed by our colleagues around the world in a fun way. These solutions focus on the digitalisation and/or decarbonisation of buildings, communities, industries and energies to bring ever more efficient solutions to our customers.
An escape game, augmented reality, an award ceremony and a social gathering were the ingredients of this fun day, which took place at Atlantis, the head office of Bouygues Energies & Services.
B.I.M, B.O.S, B.A.S…
Led by innovation project managers and experts from Bouygues Energies & Services, this innovation day, with its emphasis on fun and sharing, was an opportunity to talk about BIM, B.O.S and B.A.S (Building Automation System, which can centralise and use data in factories), as well as digital twins and artificial intelligence.
Participants discovered how these technologies are used to offer increasingly innovative solutions to our customers: using artificial intelligence in solar projects, virtual front desk solutions in buildings, regional hypervisors, etc.
The lynchpin of the day were innovation projects aimed at reducing the carbon footprint, such as Hyvision, a proven renewable hydrogen solution* that has already been replicated on several sites, and Energy Vision, developed in partnership with Qualisteo, a plug-and-play solution for monitoring energy performance, to reduce the electricity consumption of industrial facilities.
Decarbon’action prize ceremony
The day also marked the culmination of the Decarbon’action competition held among the employees of the Energy & Industry Division. Over an 8-month period, 42 innovative solutions were submitted, 8 of which were shortlisted and presented to a jury made up of clients, partners and senior management. 4 winners, 4 finalists and 2 special winners were awarded, amongst them:
- Reusing materials from temporary, high-voltage power lines.
- Hyvision solution, generators running on renewable hydrogen
- Low-carbon cement for building data centers
- Reusable and environmentally friendly mobile stand for trade shows
