Warehouse management is notoriously difficult: thousands of tools are checked out and returned on a daily basis by just as many employees, making inventory management and previsions of replacements, repairs and purchases a constant challenge for industrial contractors such as Kraftanlagen, a division of Bouygues Energies & Services.
Kraftanlagen’s Digital Transformation team partnered with our Burghausen warehouse managers to design and deploy a new management tool. Their choice was a combination of barcode identification applied to all tools and machinery available in the warehouse, combined with a mobile application available to employees and used to check items out and later on return them, either to Burghausen or to another warehouse or construction site in the vicinity.
